My very first experience on 3D was at my friend’s home. He had this ray tracing software on his Amiga computer and I remember he was glad to have marble and chrome. And that chrome was too much plastic to be a good one. Well, it was years ago.
I had my chance to try out a 3D software in the late 90's. I was intrigued, but I did not understand anything about the software. Everything seemed to be so confusing. And the idea of 3D and viewports was also confusing. I became frustrated because I wanted everything now and fast.
But I wanted to learn 3D, because it was so thrilling and the most awesome thing I knew. I started to study 3D and gradually I learned more and more. And I am very thankful for the Internet communities, which have been helping me out a lot.
I don't have a particular interest in any specific theme in 3D modeling. At the moment I have been modeling lots of cars and car related stuff, but I think the era is going to end. I am going to start a few projects after I have finished few WIPs. I am going to be model and animate a character and model a human head. Nothing new actually, been there done that - This time just better.
My main point is that I am interested in modeling everything. I like challenges, so I won't tell you that the idea is boring and I am not going to do it. However, I am not an engineer. I can not design new V8 motor, but I sure can visualize it. I can not design a house but again, I can visualize it. But if I have to choose to model between mechanics and organics, I would choose mechanics. Well... However, nothing beats good character modelling and character animation. So, go figure.
